En Mèxico esta celebraciòn busca acercar la astronomìa a toda la poblaciòn para fortalecer la tradiciòn cientìfica del paìs. Se trata de llevar la ciencia a las calles, promover el pensamiento crìtico, crear conciencia de los problemas que ocasiona la contaminaciòn lumìnica y ciertamente promover el interès de los mexicanos por esta hermosa àrea del conocimiento humano.

In Mexico, the celebration aims to bring astronomy to the whole population to strengthen the scientific tradition of the country. It comes to bringing science to the streets, promote critical thinking, awareness of the problems caused by light pollution and will certainly promote the interests of Mexicans in this beautiful area of human knowledge.
